I think she must hail from a time when it was possible to be a Democrat and still believe in things like lower taxes, capitalism, religion, and socializing children with American values instead of radical leftist ideology. Some of these people still shamble about, wondering what the hell happened to their party. She and Zell Miller must be getting awfully lonely.
