Oh, but g'nad!

This is a free-for-all kinda day, and one of your beautiful poems would be a treat for us!
I always enjoy them so much, loving words in general, and especially how you craft them.

Do please post it.

All right... you asked for it...

I saw the butterfly
As it flitted over the tops of the wildflowers
In a warm sunny meadow
On an autumn afternoon

It danced in my direction
In an elegant gambol
Wild and uncontrolled
on unseen drafts

Its movements were frantic
Yet deliberate in their purpose
Exquisite as the colors
That adorned its wings

I stretched out my hand
And to my surprise it landed
Lightly on my fingers
Clinging to my flesh for respite

I brought it close to see
And appreciated this moment
When beauty needed me
And touched me softly

As quickly as it landed
It left me
Still holding my hand close
Wishing it was still with here…
