I hope these democrat senators he's talking about will hit the microphones this afternoon...in time for the evening news.
and on that Senate filibuster promised on another thread, over the nomination of Estrada. What a great day for democrat senators to try and pull this off..while they won't get lots of attention for this blatant display of obstruction.
I was going to respond to your despair while anticipating the spin of Tom, Dan, and Peter. Then I saw this post.
I, too, dread any undermining of the U.S. position. I do think Powell was so compelling--how to find even one snippet from his presentation that is not damning?
I am optimistic that the honor displayed by President Bush and the high regard most of the population has for Colin Powell will win the day over the pathetic mewlings of any liberal naysayers.
From the little TV blurb that I saw while clicking through the channels, both Bill Press and Pat Buchanan looked pretty sad at the prospect of war. Buchanan (who never misses a chance to spout total isolationism and anti-Israeli rhetoric) made some statement about Powell not proving that Saddamn was a real threat to the US as is N. Korea. First things first, Patty-boy. I guess Pat and Bill still don't believe that Saddamn would be willing to supply terrorists with even more dangerous goodies than the N. Koreans--who we already know have sold missles to Iraq and other enemies.
