Agreed -- and the media also seem to have a mindset now of the "great power of the press" -- how they can turn people against the horror of war(or some such BS)

Absolutely... after all didn't they bring down the dreaded Richard Nixon. Even local media has an arrogance about it. They are on Mt. Olympus, and the people have to be spoon fed the truth because we can't handle it.
