Daschle/RATS are playing with political fire on the entire Estrada confirmation. If Bush gets behind this guy 24/7 on the tube, and presents Estrada to the American people, then the RATS are gonna take a severe political beating with Hispanic voters.

If that is all you have on Estrada, then you have chosen a flimsy excuse for opposing him.
There are many others who consider him to be extremely well-qualified, and the reactions of major political opponents to the conservative agenda like Ted Kennedy, Charles Schumer, and People for the American Way in this matter speak very loudly. They are too upset for this to be another Souter.

I've dealt with the folks JPH is sticking up for. They show up from out of town and try to take charge of your local anti-abortion efforts for their own ends--usually to engage in what they called "direct action" (which, incidentally, is a codeword among leftists for terroristic acts).
They showed up here in 1996 for the GOP convention, and a bunch of local pro-lifers decided to simply disappear for the duration. Wise move--these guys went out of their way to provoke confrontations with the cops.
If these idiots weren't around, the abortionists would have to invent them--and maybe they WERE invented by the abortionists, because they do a bang-up job of making pro-lifers look like nutcases.
