Big time bumperoonie!

Oh, so I pay you a complement and you go on your Queen power trip. I see how it is. (Actually I don't. Just took out my contacts, and I'm blind as a bat. Better get my glasses that aren't as cool as yours.)

I'm blind as a bat too, az. My contacts are out, my coke bottle lens glasses are on my head...and my reading glasses are over those. HAHAHA...I'm sure I look like a fly!

I'm always speechless when I read your 'heart posts', MJY. Thank you so much for being able to eloquently share what I have in my heart.
To: homeschool mama
LOL My glasses aren't that thick, but if I'm not wearing them or the contacts I'd have to be about 12 inches from the computer screen to read anything.

Why scary? Those are some way cool glasses, Mo1!
To: azGOPgal
I exaggerate the thickness. Let's just say, my husband and daughter think it's an olympic sport to hold up finger and see if I guess the number right. Sick, huh?
I wasn't able to watch the memorial...bummer.

Mike a beautiful post and I agree with you. The Dose is GREAT.
President Bush will never put himself above the country. He knows it's not all about him. Unlike that cretin, X42.
Today when I was listening to Brit's show, Charles Krauthammer (sp) made the very interesting point: In today's remarks our W only used the word "I" one time. When the impeached X42 spoke at the OKC memorial he used the word "I" 10 times, and in reference to himself and the H'Beast about 5 more times.
I thought we Dosers and other assorted Freepers were the only ones who kept score like that!! LOL But see? lots of people know the truth too, and aren't shy about pointing it out.

You should have seen the glasses I use to wear in high school .. they were very wide frames and my friends use to say I looked like that cartoon super fly

My brother does that to me right after I take the contacts out. Funny thing is, he has to wear glasses now, but his eyes aren't as bad.
The memorial was absolutely beautiful. The President said all the right things. It was very emotional and moving. If you get the chance, read the transcript of his speech. I think someone posted it on the Live Thread of the Memorial. I don't know how to post links otherwise I would.

I had navy blue BIG bug eyed glasses in the 80's...it was the style to have them BIG. I looked like a grasshopper.

Thank you for your kindness and gracious words. Birds of a feather really do flock together.
Today was one of mixed emotions. The memorial for Columbia was dignified and reflective. All in all the right tone. I mentioned in another post how the memorial seemed to turn the day somber, perhaps as it should have.
Upon reaching the friendly confines of the dose, the day's burdens lightened up a bit. With the reading of posts or in the exercise of responding to posts, I'm able to draw comfort from the kindness and goodness that each of you offer to the other. I thank each and every one of you for making the dose a refuge from the storm. Surely the good Lord dwells amongst us.
Thanks for an inspiring post. Sometimes it takes someone else to better express what it is we are feeling or thinking inside.
