I was involved with the recall put on by Glenn Spencer and the "Voice of Citizens Together" Group, of which I was a member.

We worked our arses off, even compiling a list of gun stores and shooting ranges throughout the state who were willing to put the petitions in their places of business. We thought for sure we were going to be successful. We fell extremely short of the 1.3 million signatures that we needed. Why? Because the media would not talk about it! Period.

I admonished my own local paper during the recall because I hadn't seen anything about it and I considered it newsworthy. They stated they had posted a piece about it.....in an article that was so small you'd be lucky to have found it.

I wish his group luck, but Davis is probably better of like one poster said "sitting in his own filth" struggling through the next 3 years. Besides, who is a possible replacement at this late game? I enjoy reading, and listening, to citizens beat up this man every time I hear and see it. He's a filthy traitor and deserves whatever he gets. Thanks for the millions of illegals, Davis!

I think this recall effort is going to go much better, and get more publicity. We've gotten a more extensive network of talk radio, blogs, Free Republic, etc. Not to mention that this is going to be bipartisan. As Democrat Pat Caddell, Jimmy Carter pollster said,

"We haven’t seen the bottom yet, and after all Davis’ budget plans sink in, I don’t think you’ll have to fund a Davis recall effort. It could happen by itself. He lied about getting stuck with a massive deficit. It was clearly planned so Davis could hand billions in raises and pensions to public employees, who then delivered thousands of votes to Davis and gave him the edge over Bill Simon. It’s incredible, incredible, outrageous corruption.”
