Let's give the Eastern Europeans some credit. Unlike their Western brethren, they fought for their liberation. Solidarnosc in Poland, the brave Lithuanians who stood up to Gorby's Vilnius Massacre, the Czechs in Wencelas Square, and the Romanians who finally stood up to Ceaucescu. They didn't wait for the Americans to be on the outskirts to start fighting.
