Yes, I'm well aware of that 'application' of fetal body parts. It is useful to realize that such a route was taken because it was easier for the pharmaceutical company to use the individual slaughtered child rather than do the small additional work to utilize adult tissues from living, willing, informed donors.

There are 2 cell lines that gave rise to perpetual cultures, from abortions that were legal prior to Roe v. Wade. I don't know the circumstances of the abortions, but I presume there were medical reasons, unlike the majority of abortions, today.
There are also the cultures called HeLa cells, made from cancerous cells from an adult woman, Henrietta Lacks, who died of cervical cancer.
