Hey, Hetty, I can do all those things too (except the horse stuff and exhausting a man--though I'm often just that, exhausted) and I'm a husband and grandfather! Wow, does that mean ... ? Bwahahahaha

Yes, but can you knit?

Funny you should ask. I can sew but I've never been able to knit. Right now, however, I'm trying to learn to knit. This is partly because I'm an historic reenactor and that's a period-appropriate skill for me to learn, and partly because I'm learning to do honor to a young friend who was killed at Christmastime. She wanted me and my daughter to learn how to knit and was planning to teach us. Now she never can. So we're going to learn anyway, in her memory. (Like I have time for this.)
