College-eduated American women have been sold a terrificly bad bill of goods by a bunch of chronically unhappy man-haters in the feminist movement.
The undeniable truth is that "you can't have it all" and this is particularly true for women because of the biological imperatives involved with child bearing.
The author of the piece (Vox Day) was reacting to a book by Barbara Dafoe Whitehead. This book was notable for the complete superficiality of its analysis as Ms. Whitehead missed the most important factor behind the rise in the number of singles: the escalating financial and psychological risk of divorce.
Men are are not stupid and from a purely selfish perspective it is not smart for young men to get married today. In general it is possible to obtain sexual gratification these days outside marriage with very little of the social stigma this type activity used to impose. The social calculus is obvious: men are able to get sex and companionship without the risks of divorce. Why should they get married?
This state affairs is, of course, a disaster for society and for women. Women should thank the feminist leadership for giving them a society in which male sexual license has become the main organizing principle (greedy lawyers should also get an honorable mention).

Well, you can obtain the sex part--gratification's something else.
In any event, it's better to be celebate.
Sex is too much trouble and a waste of time and energy.

The social calculus is obvious: men are able to get sex and companionship without the risks of divorce. Why should they get married? Likewise, women have learned that they can provide for themselves and children and marriage isn't required. They grow up seeing this happen. I suspect that has more to do with women being single than does a liberal education.
