Nothing gives the media a hard-on faster than the possibility of a Republican cover-up, so we'll probably be seeing every safety-related memo written by NASA between 1980-1992 and 2001-2003. The Clinton years will largely be exempt from this scrutiny.

The sad thing about safety memos is that some of them are valid, and some of them are cranked out by the resident office kook. I suspect even NASA has their share of the later.

The memo talking about Golden's policies raises some serious questions if they are valid. It should have warranted an investigation, even if run by a few people doing some post employment interviews. If it looked like more investigation should occur, at that point it should have.

Unfortunately, your new NASA Administrator has failed to recognize the eminent space shuttle danger and has accepted the consul of the pre-existing NASA shuttle management. These managers still pursue a management philosophy that has stagnated the safety upgrades efforts and perpetuates the staggering launch costs.

But that FIRST letter didn't get him a following. So now it is SPUN to make it a appear to be an anti-Clinton letter. Nevermind that TLBSHOW accused NASA of killing 7 astronauts....nevermind that TLBSHOW made a HUGE deal about this being sent to President Bush...and Bush ignored it. Nevermind the TRUTH........it is only the truth according to TLBSHOW....and now, the TRUTH has changed (morphed, been adulterated, forgotten). Can't hang out on that limb too long!
