He was taken off by the Iraqi police and beaten. They later announced they'd put him away in some prison location but, not to be left unresolved, they'd checked and, in fact, the Iraqis reported, the spiral pad notebook we'd seen the poor guy clutching, had been inspected by the Iraqis and reportedly found to be blank. Or so they say. But, what the heck, a material breach right in front of the UN personnel, what else would you expect.

Believe it or not, they (inspectors) handed him over to Iraq soldiers the same day. No joke. No doubt he's dead now - along with his entire family up to his 6th cousin.
