Wouldn't just about everything of any quantity have been burned off? I mean, we're talkin 3000 degrees.
I agree...anything should have boiled off long ago. The exceptions would be tanks, which may be sealed off or only have slow leaks.
I think it's mostly a ruse to scare people into messing with the pieces.
