The last time I called in was when he did the topic on people who leave their Christmas lights into (or past) late January. My wife insisted I call in and tell him that we've had ours up for 14 months. And no, they haven't been on all that time...Charlie said, "You don't get to cleaning your gutters much, do you, Chris?"
Ha! I heard that! Now I want to know how you keep those lights from getting all torn up by the wind and the weather? I see lights up all year, but I don't know how they are secured. I never do lights (my neighbors must suspect that I am not Christian, but nothing could be farther from the truth) because they are a lot of trouble and don't work all the time.
What's your secret?
Also, do you have a secret for getting them really straight? Is there some kind of little holder clip that people use?
