That would be far harder than trying to find the proverbial needle in a haystack.

The only way I could think of to even have a slim chance of finding anything would be to ask the public to take a look around.

Stranger things have happened, but there is a whole lot of wilderness between the Pacific Ocean and East Texas.

So they are searching for debris in California?

At the speeds, angle, and height it was traveling at the time, even if something *did* fall off over California, it may not have landed until somewhere in Texas...
