Maybe they would if their families were threatened with torture and death, and/or promised amnesty if the mission is carried out. It's hard to know just how far a person will be willing to go when his buttons are pushed. I can't say for sure (can anyone?) what I would do if my family were tortured. May I, nor anyone in America, never have to find out the answer to that ugly hypothetical question.
