President Bush and First Lady Laura attended church services at St. John's Episcopal Church in D.C. this morning. The President will propose a nearly $470 million boost in NASA's budget for fiscal 2004, an administration official said on Sunday, promising investigators would look into whether past cutbacks played any part in the space shuttle Columbia disaster. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Great news from the polling front, and from ABC News/The Washington Post no less!
SUPPORT FOR A WAR WITH IRAQ GROWS AFTER BUSH'S SPEECH
Half the Nation Favors Military Action Without U.N. Backing
By Richard Morin and Claudia Deane
Washington Post Staff Writers
Sunday, February 2, 2003; Page A22
President Bush has reversed the downward drift in public support for war with Iraq despite widespread fears that the conflict would continue for many months and produce large numbers of U.S. casualties, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll.
After the president's State of the Union speech on Tuesday in which he laid out the case for a U.S.-led invasion, the survey found that 66 percent of Americans favor taking military action against Iraq, up from 57 percent two weeks ago and the most support for war since mid-September.
Slightly more than six in 10 Americans also approve of the way Bush is handling the situation in Iraq; two weeks ago, half the country endorsed the job that the president was doing. Bush's overall job approval rating stands at 62 percent, up slightly from mid-January.
And for the first time in Post-ABC News surveys, about half of all Americans say the United States should take military action even without the endorsement of the United Nations.

He looks so UNHAPPY! God, how much can this man endure?! My heart breaks for him.
Mr. Bush, just remember, THERE is light at the end of the tunnel! God bless you!

I'm not sure the reasons why he attends various churches. Heck, I'm a Christian and I've been to services at a Catholic and Reformed church.

The President is a better person than I am. He doesn't seem to hold a grudge, but I sure do. I deeply resent Griswold's comments, although he lightened up considerably after Prez. Bush spoke about one of his pet projects, the AIDS funding. That's just the kind of cause Episcopalians can get their teeth into.
Since I'm one, I can complain, and I do, bitterly.

I've just finished reading GEORGE AND LAURA; Portrait of a Marriage, by Christopher Anderson, and everyone here has got to read it. It has more information than anything I have ever read about them PLUS there are many new pictures. It was absolutely fascinating.

Hey, I just noticed; all of a sudden I'm 27 again. Usually I'm like 106 and that's the way I feel right now.

Hi all.....I was wondering if there were any college professors posting on the dose?.....My son Jonathan was informed today that he is going to Korea for two weeks in March(replacing another unit that was supposed to go)....Im hoping some of this time falls in the spring break, but if not, do prof's usually give you permission to miss classes without withdrawing from school?
Now, I have both my hubby and son leaving......the hits just keep coming.....luckily for Jonathan it will be only 2 weeks, but Korea!!!

Since I'm one, I can complain, and I do, bitterly.ditto, but to paraphrase Griswold, I am tired of constantly apologizing for being Episopalian.

I know; you can just see the strain in both their faces. Thank God he has his faith to sustain him; and I think he's too big a guy to pay attention to the little rats nipping at his heels.
That's our job! (ha)

I didn't want to post this last night due to the Columbia tragedy, and I'm a little iffy about tonight. So, I'll just post a link.
Bush bucks, if you are looking for something for your wife or girlfriend and hate the thought of doing Valentine's shopping, your answer may be here.
My best friend and I are using this as a test to whether we want to pursue a business. If you are interested in any of these, please send me a freepmail.

Oh my ... I haven't seen him looking so downtrodden as this before. All Presidents look a lot older after a few years in office. Even compare the 'It's the Economy Stupid' Clinton with the 'I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky' Clinton.
To: Martin Tell
Agreed. But in our own individual churches many of us are actually religious (gasp) and conservative. And, thank goodness, our Dallas Bishop is conservative and holy.

Glad to hear that you are recovering from your surgery. Our server went belly up Jan 12, then we got hit with a virus.
I had daily dose withdrawl so bad that my hubby thought that I was losing it. The shock therapy didn't even work to pull me out of it.

Thanks everybody for your help. It appears that the service will be at 12:45 Tuesday.
