With ZERO facts on hand, let me venture the first guess...

Hindus on the rampage? No?
Mormons are offended? No?
Orthodox Jews have murder in their hearts? No?
Buddhists have finally had enough? No?

Hmmmmmmm, this is a stumper.

Tempting to make that jump.

But seeing as Nigeria is on the verge of a Marxist revolution, I think the right answer is "Duped commies are resorting to violence in their 'struggle' to end war and racism."

It comes down to two. It's either the Party of Altruism or the Religion of peace. As a devout individualist, I am tired of sparing either. They both need a thorough cleansing.

Why, oh, why is everyone so eager for Marxism, especially Africa? The inevitable results of doing so are so &^^%*%$ clear, it is unreal:

In the 1950's, Oklahoma State University went to Ethiopia and taught them more efficient ways to farm. From then on, they were a net food exporter! Then the Marxists came to power, and they haven't been able to feed themselves since.

Zimbabwe African People's Union, headed by Robert Mugabe, espouses the same principles. Suddenly, Zim goes from being "the breadbasket of Southern Africa" to expecting 6 million of their own to go starving. (Gee, I wonder if Mr. Mugabe will decide that those who oppose his rule will get fed last? Nah! That never happens.)

Going outside of the continent, let's look at that overhead shot of North and South Korea at night, where NK is a black hole, and SK is brightly illuminated. In NK, the people being fed first are those in the military... hence they have the world's highest ratio of soldiers-to-citizens in the world.

Why choose your own destruction because someone makes it sound good?!?!?!?

That border is pretty well-defined. Their capital, Pyongyang, is that one solitary little dot towards their west coast. Seoul, South Korea, is that huge white blob to the southeast of it... and the North Korean leadership chooses this situation, as if it is better than giving some autonomy to the citizenry. Simply incredible.

Scores Killed As Blast Rocks Nigeria

By DULUE MBACHU, Associated Press Writer

LAGOS, Nigeria - A blast rocked the heart of Nigeria's commercial capital Sunday, killing as many as 50 people, witnesses and local radio reported.

The explosion occurred about 12:30 p.m. on Lagos Island, the center of the business district of this city of 12 million.

It tore through a three-story building, in a blast that could be heard for miles.

Resident Omololu Kassim, who was helping carry the victims, told The Associated Press he saw 40 dead and as many injured. Radio stations reported up to 50 killed.

Crowds massed at the scene, many wailing as police and other rescue workers struggled to pull bodies from the rubble.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the blast.

Last year, a series of explosions at an army munitions depot in Lagos killed more than 1,000 people.

The Jan. 27, 2002, tragedy was followed by three days of ethnic rioting in Lagos this month that killed 100 people, destroyed homes and sent thousands fleeing.

"Gee, I wonder if Mr. Mugabe will decide that those who oppose his rule will get fed last? Nah! That never happens".

Actually it's already happened. Those showing a party card are given food, those who don't are allowed to starve.

Witnesses: Blast at Lagos Bank Kills More Than 20
1 hour, 27 minutes ago
Add World - Reuters to My Yahoo!

LAGOS, Nigeria (Reuters) - An explosion ripped open the front of a four-story bank in central Lagos Sunday morning, killing at least 20 people, witnesses and rescue workers said.

Television reports said 50 bodies had been recovered from the scene of the blast. Officials were not available for comment.

Local television said a bomb caused the blast, which resounded across Lagos at around 1000 GMT, ripping off the front of the Prudent Bank building.

Local civilians and rescue services combed through the wreckage in search of dead and injured.

A crowd of residents thronged the scene, but scattered when heavily-armed police arrived, shooting in the air and shouting through a loudspeaker: "Let us through to help our brothers!"

Tension at the scene was high. Some eyewitnesses said locals were searching for money in the wreckage.

"One of them found a large sum of money. He picked up the bundle and wanted to throw it into the crowd. The other people started throwing stones at him," an eyewitness said.

Waves of panic seized the crowds in the narrow streets around the scene of the blast, near the central mosque.

The incident was the worst disaster in Nigeria since a fire gutted one of the main offices of Nigeria's national oil firm in December. In January last year a fire at a Lagos arms depot caused more than 1,000 deaths.

Oil-rich Nigeria, Africa's most populous country, suffers bouts of inter-ethnic violence but is not known as a target of "terrorist" attacks.

"One of them found a large sum of money. He picked up the bundle and wanted to throw it into the crowd. The other people started throwing stones at him," an eyewitness said.

An opportunist, just like the folks reportedly trying to sell parts of the wrecked shuttle.

I think the impulse of nations towards socialism is analogous to the impulse of individuals towards drugs or alcohol or certain addictive behaviors. The destructive potential of these has been demonstrated a million times over, yet there's no shortage of willing partakers.

Lagos, in particular, is also the largest CHRISTIAN center in Nigeria and the site of a massive revival two years ago by German evangelist Reinhard Boennke, in which six million attended and there were 1.6 million written professions of faith in Christ. This was the single largest revival in human history, in the fact of STRONG Muslim opposition from the north!

I really don't know. Africa, so many wars, you really do need a program to tell who the players are.
