In the ongoing musical revolution, the leap into a world without norms leads to electronic or industrially produced music, which lacks an essential element of traditional music: namely, the overtones.

I guess we're overthrowing Western Civilization.

Actually, I think it's the author's fault for listening to the wrong sort of Industrial/Electronic music. If I just listened to a few tracks of Dance House/Techno as a representative sample of "electronic/industrial", I'd probably come to the same conclusion as...

...well, as if I were to judge all Rock Music by an assortment of Beach Boys and Britney Spears, without including any (old) Rolling Stones or (old) U2 or (old) Metallica, etc.
