I've been reading about Ilan Ramon; once again, I am furious with myself for NOT knowing more about him before this happened.

Ilan Ramon? All I know is in 1982 he helped put an Iraqi nuclear reactor out of it's misery.

Here's a sad WI bump for Dr. Laurel Clark, a native of Wisconsin. Our beloved pediatrician (and any mom knows a good one is worth his weight in gold) was invited by his dear friend Dr. Laurel to witness her lift off into space. We were his last patients before he left and he was like a little kid. . . He was so excited to cheer on his buddy from Med School.

Today I wept for the loss of his dear friend and a fellow Wisconsinite. She leaves behind a husband and an 8 year old son. Godspeed Dr. Laurel Clark.
