Per Reuters: Sat February 1, 2003 02:08 PM ET "God wants to show that his might is greater than the Americans. They have encroached on our country. God is avenging us," he said. Car mechanic Mohammed Jaber al-Tamini noted Israeli air force Colonel Ilan Ramon was among the dead when the shuttle broke up shortly before its return to earth. "Israel launched an aggression on us when it raided our nuclear reactor without any reason (in 1981), now time has come and God has retaliated to their aggression," Tamini said.
Iraqis Call Shuttle Disaster God's Vengeance
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Immediate popular reaction in Baghdad on Saturday to the loss of the U.S. space shuttle Columbia and its seven-member crew -- including the first Israeli in space -- was that its was God's retribution on Americans. "We are happy that it broke up," government employee Abdul Jabbar al-Quraishi said.
I can see why they would cheer the death of the Israeli astronaut. --thoughtcriminal
And so are the Palestinians I'm sure. I also suspect that in both Washington DC and Tel Aviv the propagandists are hard at working figuring out how to use this disaster to strengthen US/Israel ties. --NMC EXP (admirer of H. L. Mencken, the very incarnation of "true conservatism.")
You can bet Joseph Farah, Rupert Murdoch, Mort Zuckerman, Conrad Black, and Izzy Asper will go out of their way to find Muslims celebrating this tragedy. Just watch next week's headlines. The real story these days isn't actually what happens...it's how the media frames the news to advance its own agenda. --Centinel (wants to reactivate HUAC, apparently on he assumption PFLP is as American as apple pie).
Ironic, that picture of protesting Islamics has been on NewsMax since yesterday afternoon. I guess keeping it underneath the shuttle headline gives it some extra mileage. --Same guy, still wants HUAC to protect moslems from Jews.
I shall not applogize for wanting the head of this murderer who killed many Muslims in his combat during the Yom Kippur War and Israel's bloody massacre in Lebabnon. No... this is definitely one of those who I can only pray that Allah burns extra crisp. I pray for the demise and torment of all of those like him. --ansar, true-blue conservative American, defender of the chr*stian West, and member of the only good non-white minority group in the whole wide world.
Where was Bush to express sympathy over the innocent Palestinians, Afghans, Iraqis and others who were ruthlessly killed by beastly murderers. To hell with Bush and his ass kissing of the Israelis!!! I hope an act of God will wipe him and the asses he kiss forever from the earth. Any war monger who would cold, callously and calculatingly attack another weak nation under false pretense with no regards to innocent lives lost don't deserve my respect or care!!! --The selfsame free-thinking, rational individualist.
Same here. I like my enemies extra crispy. He's too young to have been one of those who killed our sailors on the USS Liberty, but no doubt he fraternizes with those who did. --Don Wallgren, "nonconformist," whose tag line reads "Hitler was a man of peace." Gotta love them "anarcho-capitalist libertarians," huh?
Oh, and another thread accuses "Zionist" Lieberman of stirring up non-existent trouble between the US and that peaceful nation, North Korea. But evidently they feel quite differently about Communist China, which they seem to think is an Israeli satellite. Why don't the "Zionists" have "their Chinese satellite" take out peace-loving North Korea for them?
Now I know you're all going to laugh and say "oh well, that's how those people are" and dismiss them. I'm sorry, but I don't think they're funny. Of course, there's an attempt right now to ban sites like this for liberal reasons, and this makes these admirers of Hitler feel like martyrs for liberty (just as Ho's patsies did in the Sixties). Naturally, I myself don't advocate the supression of any site for any reason other than the rule of the world by G-d. But at any rate . . .
I hope the moderators (among whom I am most definitely not included, nor do I want to be, as my basic Theocratic philosophy marks me as not really at home here, and perhaps even "un-American") will take a good long look at these sentiments and these individuals and remember when they come over here and bully them with charges of "censorship of free thought" that they will not be cowed. These people have their own sites. They can state their feelings quite plainly there without fear of "censorship" (and of course their admitted admiration for Hitler and hatred of Jews shows them to be your typical dishonest "aryans" when it comes to telling the truth). Besides, I'm more than happy to post their stuff here for them! Only thing is, they don't like getting to misrepresent themselves here. The poor persecuted widdle babies.
Forgive me. I hope the Mossad does kill them, but only if they are not first taken out by 1) their Arab/moslem/North Korean buddies or 2) an eventual Fundamentalist/Noachide militant group (everybody else has one!).
I'm sorry folks. This stuff isn't funny. Clucking at it is useless. The best thing to do is to let them show just what they are, and what liars they are when they come over here and deny it.
HaMavetah son'ei-HaShem! That means "death to the haters of HaShem." Sorry if that sounds "talibanish" to you seculars.
Now, don't you feel better? LOL
We're coming..and we'll pick up where Col. Ramon and company left off
Note to any military in the Gulf, name some ordinance after the heroes we lost today..and drop on these camel lovers.
I have followed your posts on this thread with great interest. You appear to see this story as propaganda to further inflame American opinion against Iraq and its people. I have to ask you why. Propaganda is based on government actions and statements. The article is from Reuters, which is hardly a "mouthpiece" for the US Government especially a republican controlled government. You are correct that we are going to war with Iraq in a very short time and it could be understood that the reaction of those quoted in the article could simply be a reaction to that fact but so what? You appear to be very interested in countering the facts in the article with your own subjective opinion that it is only propaganda and that "Rumsfeld is in the background egging the President on". You have used the "propaganda card" so often that you appear to be engaging in the same activity.
We're coming for you. And we'll put a 5.56mm right through your brain.
