The surprise is not that we have lost two shuttles, but that we have not lost more.

Given the shuttle's inherent flaws, I couldn't agree more. I think you'll find in upcoming coverage there will be a lot of NASA people saying the same things I'm saying. It's time to finally fix the problem and not slap bandaids on it.

BTW, White House now saying it was impossible that terrorism or sabotage was involved.

How the heck could the WH rule that out so fast? I mean, I saw a story llast week about illegal aliens working on a naval warship. Even if the WH knows what happened to the shuttle, they can't say why yet. Can they?
