Dr. Laurel Clark, one of the astronauts, was a Racine, Wisconsin native. Our first ever astronaut in space, she had become a great source of pride in our community. God bless the astronauts and their families.

God bless the astronauts and their families.I understand your pride and now your grief. Roger Chaffee (Apollo I) was from Grand Rapids and it was devastating when he died. We had a wonderful planetarium built and dedicated to his memory, which included many items that he had donated to the public museum.
My prayers go out for the family members who have been so tragically affected by todays events.
