btw, I watched Juan after the speech, and he was nearly moved to tears. It's good to see that even some libs recognize who our President really is. That struck me too. Juan was positively MOVED by the address.

I've never seen him this way. That was the one thing (aside from the address itself) that made an impression.

I cannot help but hope that there were many other thinking liberals who were touched as well.

I'm sure that others were, happygrl. It may not change many votes, but I'm sure the sincerity, honesty, and genuine compassion the President has for all people will change the opinions of thinking liberals........and there are some........ and definitely those in the middle. If 81% of people in the CBS poll said he shared their values about America, that leaves a very small percentage who weren't moved by his exceptional speech.

The ones whose opinions will not be changed are the set-in-concrete ideologues on the left, and on the right, (like the nasties on this very forum).

It's best not to waste energy worrying about them.
