I fire off a letter to the editor several times a month to various papers from places I have lived. The biggest problem is keeping them under the word limit. Surprisingly I have a pretty good track record in getting published. Except in one paper who has never, in the past 3 years printed a single one of my letters.

I know what you mean. I hit the Detoit News for years until they finally published a couple last year. One on energy and one ripping Sen. Carl Levin for his hypocrisy on Iraq.

I despise their editors though, they cut out salient points in both letters which kind of neutered the effect. Pi##ed me off.
