It's not enough oil to have any effect on prices. The oil companies arn't going to drill it fast enouph to have any effect on prices in the future. If they did it would last about a month.

The last gov. estimate of ANWR oil was 5-10 billion gallons, enough to buy ZERO oil from Saddam for 20 years. This was raised from previous estimates of 2-5 billion after further research.

Your highly questionable figures are irrelevant. Even if there were twice as much as even the most optimistic scientific ( not political ) estimates. The oil companies aren't going to pump it fast enough to put themselves out of business. Oil has to be $20 a barrel os so for them to make enough money for it to be worthwhile to drill anwar.

The price could easily go down to $10 if we do things right in the gulf. It could easily stay between 10 and 20 for decades. It isn't smart economics to drill anwar now.
