U.S. indictment of Iraq will be televised live from the Security Council next week, and could bring the crisis to a head.
After weeks of dampening expectations for "smoking gun" evidence against Iraq, the Bush administration is now teeing up an "Adlai Stevenson moment." That's diplomat-speak for the instant in which a U.S. official trumps all naysayers at the United Nations by hauling out graphic, incontrovertible evidence that its enemy is lying. Stevenson, as President John F. Kennedy's UN ambassador in 1962, slam-dunked the Soviets during a heated Security Council debate by producing satellite photographs that disproved Moscow's denials that missiles had been stationed in Cuba. Secretary of State Colin Powell hopes to produce a similar effect when he presents U.S. evidence against Iraq at a special session of the Security Council convened at U.S. request next Wednesday.

What's the point of this really?
Come on, you know the US can make up any photos they want. Bush is worse than Saddam (or is it Hitler?) so photos don't prove anything?
As for documentation, who cares? Too boring to read.
No blood for oil, blah blah blah.

Powell stands at the doorstep of History. I pray he get's it right.

He'll get it right.
And between now and then, the drip drip of information will begin to swell into a torrent. My bet is Blair and Bush will finalize plans this weekend and after Powell's presentation on Tuesday, the fireworks begin.

It's a joke. It is meant to point out how much the UN is a waste of time. Do you think Russia, Germany, or France are going to change their minds? Most of their population thinks Bush is worse than Saddam or Hitler so it's all a big waste of time.
Time of fuel up the B-2s.

Good luck to you, you little sht.
Fortunately for you, you and your furry faced Professors are protected by a whole lot of people who are a lot more into the big picture than your Salon.com or Democratic Underground types.
Go back to your classroom where you can teach your bs, and get away with it.
Just go away!

President John F. I could swear they were U2 photographs. Of course, Powell will have to use satellite photographs, as Saddam didn't allow U2 overflights. (If anyone mentions Aurora, I shall strike him with a trout.)

Ollie North predicted this morning on Fox and Friends that the 7th would be the date. Could be!

Sarcasm? If not, DUCK!
To: brewcrew
I thought the sentence ' As for documentation, who cares? Too boring to read.' would make it clear it was sarcasm.:< I guess I should too much like a dumb liberal so hard to tell the difference!:>
