Sneakypete's a man, so's Mertz and AAA and Doughty and others. They distrust Bush and his agenda. That's a stand.

Then I count myself in good company. Add me to your list of those whom distrust Bush.

Yeah, but your stance is based on your judgement of how we best defend and support America. That's cool, I disagree with your Bush assessment, but we're in synch as far as our loyalty and desire to keep the train a rollin. That ain't the Ron Paul crew.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the AG do a "Trafficant" on Ron Paul.

In order to get back to a limited government, the first thing we need to do is to legalize drugs!
(One would think, by reading the drug threads.)

Thanks for sharing your opinion.
BTW, I believe you forgot an /sarcasm in there.
What, in your opinion, should be done to get back to a Constitutionally limited govertnment?
One can have a limited government without it also being a Constitutionally limited government.

Since Ron Paul can't even win his House seat, except to fraudulently run under GOP colors, it is perverse to imagine that he could manage to even become a contendor , in a presidential race ; so forget Senate seat. If he were to run as a Libertarian, he would lose his House seat.

Bump!

Noticed you were making a number of pro-democracy statements. Thought this might make for interesting reading.

Eventually the solution will be found with the passage of the Liberty Amendment. Once there is serious debate on this amendment, we will know that the American people are considering the restoration of our constitutional republic and the protection of individual liberty.

Here is a link to the Liberty Amendment: Click here

And a quote from the link:

The amendment will not only prohibit the federal government from participating in activities not specifically authorized in the Constitution, essentially strengthening the existing Ninth and Tenth Amendments, but will repeal the 16th Amendment. The 16th allowed for the collection of income taxes.

Sounds like an attempt to return to the original intent of the Constitution.

No room for a constitutionalist in the GOP anymore? I guess the small-d democrats have all the good seats....

Snore.

After your naptime, perhaps you can manage to address a single point of Ron Paul's.

Rin Paul isn't a " constitutionalist " at all. He is a failed Libertarian, who runs under GOP colors; it's the ONLY way he can get elected. He isn't a " party player " and as such, the GOP tolerates him, but doesn't back him. He has NO friends or allies and doesn't serve his constituants ( those who don't know much about him; just pull the GOP lever )well. Heck, he doesn't even serve those, who DO know what he's all about, well. Ergo, he can't ever win a presidential GOP candacy; let alone a general election for the presidency. Senator ? From Texas ? More than highly doubtful. You've got your head in the clouds. ; ^ )

No! We live in a Democracy! Senator Clinton said so herself when she questioned the results of the 2000 Presidential Election.

"He has NO friends or allies..."

Nineteen representatives have joined his Liberty Caucus, so I would consider the above statement inaccurate at best. But that is alright, Patrick Henry didn't have a lot of "friends or allies" either.

"...and doesn't serve his constituants...well."

He won 68% of the vote in the last election. His constituents must think otherwise.
