We have liberty. We have prosperity. We have security.

Ron Paul isn't much of a philospher king, but I DO love his frozen fish sticks!

I love hearing about our very pure, but lost America ... when our Constitution was carved in stone and cows jumped over the moon!

Ron Paul's special order presentations start out so peaceful with just the noise of crickets. His words are little harder to follow second half with all the maintenance guys and their floor scrubbing equipment.

He's a phony like all yaz.

ArneFufkin is seen here reacting to the cold hard truth about the sorry state of our republic.

Tell ya what, if you can be bothered to read the whole speech and would like to intelligently address some of the points therein, then I'd love to hear your input.

But if you'd like to do nothing but continue to stink up the thread with your witless sniveling, then take a hike. This thread is for intelligent discussion only, even if I disagree with what others have to say. Please save the corny jokes and authority worship for one of the 'Day in the Life' threads.

Ron's whacking off.

He's a whore. A man of principle would resign from such a corrupted institution. How DOES he endure the $5500 gross checks forced upon him every two weeks?

You guys are no longer amusing. We know the history of this country, we understand the org chart here. We know the rules of play.

There's nothing worse than arrogant buffoons lecturing nonsense. You're like a 5 year old making up the American franchise as you go along.

Go to a coffee shop and thrill the opiate crowd with your boppriffic jazz explorations.

There are just times when narcissistic freeloaders need to be told to get the F out of the way. War is imminent, and it's a red-letter event for our country and our civilization as the historians say. Take your fantasies home.

Ron's whacking off.

Real intelligent. Your foul language speaks volumes of your intellect.

A man of principle would resign from such a corrupted institution.

We ask him to be there to be the lone voice of reason, and to try his best to restore our republic.

You guys are no longer amusing. We know the history of this country, we understand the org chart here. We know the rules of play...blah blah blah...

Here you ramble, and say absolutely nothing of substance. To no surprise, you address not a single issue. If you're capable of it, try to pick something specific that you disagree with Ron Paul over. You know, an ISSUE. WHY is he wrong? Surely if you're so right, you should have no problem rationally and logically showing so. Have at it! Please take your time, as I'm sure that type of thing is new to you.

You are not above the fray. You either join the fray, or you oppose it. If you oppose it, be a man and live with your decision. That's American. Freeper Sneakypete opposes this campaign ... but he doesn't say it's not his business. That's valorous, and he's a great American.

Ron Paul is a liar and coward. If you construct a societal place that renders you bigger than the American tribe ... you are a liar and a coward too.

My bro called me today to chat about his pal - best man at his wedding - who was vaporized calling on Marsh & MacLennan in the WTC that terrible day. Never found. There's two little girls who'll never hug daddy again, and a wonderful woman who's life has been devestated. Today would have been his 40th birthday. This is real life bozo, you are an American, if you position yourself as above the American group ... stay out of my f****ng way. Sneakypete's a man, so's Mertz and AAA and Doughty and others. They distrust Bush and his agenda. That's a stand. You are not operating on a plane above American war and peace calculations. Pull your load slackass, pro or con. Or slink away. Your soapbox is gone.

You are not above the fray. You either join the fray, or you oppose it.

What are you talking about??

Ron Paul is a liar

Exactly what has Ron Paul lied about? Please be specific.

and coward

The man is single handedly standing up to extremely strong and well entrenched political forces in defense of our republic. Ruthless forces that have access to and no qualms about using devious and underhanded means to get their way. Good people have died for far less. If I were him, I'd wonder if one day I'd end up missing or dead of the Arkansas flu, or at the very least a rubber glove examination from the IRS. And you think that's cowardice?

If you construct a societal place that renders you bigger than the American tribe ... you are a liar and a coward too.

'Societal place'? What on Earth are you talking about?

My bro called me today to chat about his pal - best man at his wedding - who was vaporized calling on Marsh & MacLennan in the WTC that terrible day.

While I am very sympathetic to his loss and sincerely hope all involved are found and punished, I don't know how this is relevant here. Are you suggesting Ron Paul or I are indifferent to the 9/11 attacks? Did you even read the article?

They distrust Bush and his agenda. That's a stand.

In this thread you are presented with a lengthy, logical and in depth analysis of why our current agenda is wrong. Hint: that's called 'a stand'.

Any thoughts yet on an actual issue to discuss?

Bin Laden's claims are straightforward. The U.S. defiles Islam with military bases on holy land in Saudi Arabia, its initiation of war against Iraq, with 12 years of persistent bombing, and its dollars and weapons being used against the Palestinians as the Palestinian territory shrinks and Israel's occupation expands. There will be no peace in the world for the next 50 years or longer if we refuse to believe why those who are attacking us do it

Stick it.

While "stick it" isn't exactly an eloquent response, at least we're finally onto an issue.

So, do tell: What's the real reason we were attacked? What would our enemies stand to gain by lying about their motives?

Sorry, Mr. Franklin...

At the time of the Consitutional Convention, Franklin was referred to as "Dr. Franklin", as he had been awarded multiple doctorate degrees.

In order to get back to a limited government, the first thing we need to do is to legalize drugs!

In order to get back to a limited government, the first thing we need to do is to legalize drugs!

If we are to have any semblence of a Bill of Rights, the drug war must change. The 10th Amendment clearly states that issues such as drugs are the domain of the states.

Some states will take different approaches than others. This is not blanket legalization, as some states will still be very prohibitionist. For the fed to impose national legalization is every much a violation of the 10th as the blanked prohibition we now have.

One thing for sure, as things stand, the drug war has caused harm to every single amendment of the Bill of Rights, save the 3rd, and that's only because surveillence no longer requires soldiers stationed in homes. That is now accomplished with snitches, etc...
