I remember the Jeffrey McDonald story, Yaelle. I saw the movie and read the book. Karl Malden was great, wasn't he?

Kim, he was finally convicted. He is in jail now, has a website and all, still proclaiming his innocence, and apparently still assuming that his own wonderful self is the most important thing in the world to everyone.

The creepiest thing I remember about the McGinnis book was when the author described going into the military housing where the crime had occurred--9 years after the fact. All had been left just as it was the day the MP's investigated the scene. Even the food items in the refrigerator were still in there--and the refrigerator had been chugging along all those years, never having been unplugged. Ice cream that was 9+ years old in the freezer!

All Scotty-boy needs to be doing now is to keep talking. Just keep talking, talking, talking....the more he talks, the more he will incriminate himself (or clear himself). If he's innocent, what's the harm in talking? Just keep talking, Scott.

Ooh, that is creepy about the MacDonald house being left for 9 years. The coolest thing about the case for me was that they figured out that ALL FOUR FAMILY MEMBERS had different ABO blood types. I think that was about as sophisticated as DNA typing went in those days. But with the four different types, they were able to piece together from the blood all over the house what happened and in what order. And it totally contradicted MacDonald's cheesy story. I thought that was awesome, as though the poor souls were able to point to their killer from their graves.
