I never thought of that ( the wallet being for Amber). That could explain why he didn't get all distraught thinking of Laci and the wallet she would never receive.

the wallet could have been meant for Amber? Spectre, some of us have come to the conclusion that the wallet WAS meant for Amber--but only after Laci no longer had any need for it.
To everyone: This is a joke, I have not read that he gave Laci's present, the wallet, to Amber!
