Exactly, the umbrellas would be quite obviously leaning without their stands & would be more obvious than if they were gone completely. The reports kept saying that the police took the umbrellas, but that part of them was missing & it didn't dawn on me til last nite that they were talking about the bases that were missing! Also, kind of odd to take them "cause of rain" which he claimed on GMA show, since it's been reported that it had been raining for about 5 days prior to the 24th and had finally cleared up on the 24th. Nothing he says makes any sense! He's tripping over his own lies now.

yes, also those types of umbrellas are usually "rain protected" they have a sealer on the fabric that prevents them from getting damaged/ruined. On another thread there was a pic and a spec sheet of the typical outdoor umbrella. "rain protected" was one of the features. You just know that scott got the best umbrellas...
