If this newspaper said that he was holding a cup with an alcoholic beverage then they are being misleading. You can clearly see in the photo that he is holding the cup from underneath as if there was a "stick" or something coming out of the botton indicating that there was a candle in it. He was not holding the cup as if there was a beverage in it meaning that his hands were not wrapped around the cup. Find that pic and see it for yourself and see if you agree.

And a large blue tarp was found in the marina where Scott said he went fishing. LE took it in for testing

Didn't the dogs react to this tarp? How coincidental. Umbrellas wrapped in a blue tarp. Where is the tarp?

The bee did not say that Scott was carrying around a drink. I remember clearly that the bee said that Scott was at the prayer vigil but did not sit with Laci's family. He was seen holding a candle and laughing and smiling with friends. I am sure the article can be easily researched. I would take anything Scott has to say with a grain of salt. After all he already proved how he can lie. When the bee reported there was another woman, he called it a "pack of lies". But who was lying????

Why the h*ll would you need to WRAP umbrellas in a TARP to keep them from getting wet???

I would tell everyone that I was storing them in the warehouse for winter. Not really a bad idea...except in these circumstances.

Scott seemed to be suggesting that the Umbrella's were the type that are used in the Summer, the type you put around patio tables to block out the sun.

Usually, the stands, which ARE weighted with water, sand or concrete are not moved.

He could have had those fancy wrought iron stands? They would make perfect weights to hold a body under water.

My biggest, nagging question is this case, is that especially since Scott decided to "go fishing" on the spur of the moment", then he had to have stopped to buy BAIT. AND no one can cooberate selling any to him.

Also, I was wondering if they could do forensics on the fishing pole, line and tackle to determine if he recently fished, and what the trace water samples indicated?

Like you, I tend to believe the SP is the perp. However, just b/c he was a lousy husband does not make him a murderer. He is acting suspiciously, which makes me think he's guilty, yet there could be other reasons for her disappearance. I hope the police keep all avenues open.

Did you see SP last night dodging questions like "have you taken a poly?" saying the police don't want him answering questions about the investigation. Man, what a LIAR. Nobody is buying this crap he is dishing out. He has an arrogant attitude like he is so much more superior, and he is really fooling everybody.

I think he is a wreck, because he is worried about them finding Laci's body. Then, his charade is really OVER.

I wish LE would give a press conference and dispute SP's lies (like his claim he told the police about the affair right away). Then again, maybe they just want him to keep talking .

I hope to heck he doesn't get away with this.

GRACE: I have some information on that, Larry, regarding the sturgeon fishing. I've done some research, that day it was 30 degrees, 7 knots wind and it was raining in the Berkeley Marina. And to fish for sturgeon you've got to have smelt, anchovy, herring or sardines. Unless he had that in the freezer, he had to buy the bait so where's the receipt?

That is ANOTHER good point. Now, that one would have been found out by LE almost immediately. My guess is that when they asked him about bait, he lied about it right away (educated guess because he lies about most everything anyway), and they were able to catch him in that lie.

Such as "Where did you get your bait?" "Oh, at a little bait shop I passed on the way; I paid cash..." And then LE asked for his exact route, questioned all the bait shops, and came back to him and told him he didn't. Perhaps at that point, Scott may have had to say that he didn't actually FISH that day but just took the boat around the marina a little, decided not to fish... At that point they started dragging the marina. My guess is something like that happened to put him as the main suspect right away.

I still think it is highly suspicious to happen to be moving huge umbrellas in a tarp the morning the wife goes missing, too. The LE knows all about that, too.

Yes a tarp was found. Dogs reacted to it, I believe. They made a big deal about finding it but there has not been any comment about it since.
