I don't think this girl wanted any baby until they started their counseling/propaganda. She specifically stated she would rather have an abortion than choose adoption. That's not wanting a baby. Personally I think the boy's parents are the only ones sensible in this whole ordeal. Their kid is only 16 years old for cryin out loud. Why create a baby to full term when you don't have to. I don't believe for a minute she really wanted a baby at this time or she would've never went through with it. If you have to convince someone to want something, they don't really want it. Secondly by having this baby should could be changing fate, she may never meet her future rich husband and have the gorgeous triplets she was suppose to have. If she gets married to this idiot she will probably end up with nothing and her aborted fetus would end up being a dangerous criminal. What ifs are just that, this so called baby never existed anymore than a woman's egg she loses every month is a potential baby. Besides there is no way to know if the pregnancy would've went along to full term without miscarrying anyways. It was just a maybe baby.

Secondly constantly making statements like murder and dead baby is mental abuse. It is unhealthy to tell women this, that is why many women become so confused with self loathing, they crack up later in life. Just like those girls think they're fat because some boy said they were so they starve themselves to death. Many of the people in mental wards have serious religious obsessions that usually had to do with their family.

Here is some real good advice and that should've happened long ago and this whole ordeal would've been just a bad dream. Just the fact alone that she's living with grandparents is a RED FLAG! I really don't know but the family situation is obviously messed up which is a precursor to young girls getting knocked up. I doubt this girl has ever been to a gyno appointment. She should've been dragged there once she started dating. Once girls start having sex they're suppose to go for the pap test and checkups every year anyways. All girls should be dragged there once they start dating because hormones + love = sex. Virginity pledges go out the window the minute they think they're in love because the boys convince them that should have sex or else they will break up. They will continue to have sex that's a given. While she's there she should get a std test because this young cassanova probably has been around and have her doctor counsel her on responsible sex and get her on any number of hormone method which are like 99.8 as long as she takes them EXACTLY. They have the patch now which you put on once a week. Along with the the hormonal birth control she should be using several backup methods. A condom should be used everytime anyways or other over the counter methods and it will be a cold day in hell before she gets knocked up. This boy obviously doesn't want anything to do with a condom so it's up to her and he probably convinces her to do anything and everything his way.

My brother-in-law had a drinking problem and was verbally abusive to my niece. My parents have always provided a stable environment for the kids and because of the closeness of their homes they often spent as much time at their grandparents' as at their own home.

A few years ago, because my niece was not getting along with her father, she moved into my parents' home. For Amanda, walking into my parent's house was always like walking into a big hug. She is dearly loved by everyone and they have provided a stable environment and have given her everything she needs or wants. They bought her clothes, a cell phone and a car. She sleeps in my old room.

Amanda is a very sensitive and gifted child. Always socially awkward, she has been the top student in every class since kindergarten. She has been recognized on several occasions as one of the top students in the state, with a strong inclination to math and science. Her ambition was to be a doctor. She began to be courted by several colleges before she graduated high school, and she won a full 4 year scholarship at a university about an hour from my parents' home. She wanted to be close to them.

Her outlook on life and her stability has improved immensely since moving in with her grandparents. She went from being a withdrawn, awkward and bookish teenager into a vivacious and charming young woman. When she met her boyfriend, she became even more confident and pleasant. We all agreed he was good for her and we liked him a lot. He became close to the family. He's also a pretty good guitar player for a 16 year-old kid. He plays a Telecaster, which endeared him to me (I'm a Strat man, myself).

My parents have often commented how similar Amanda and I are. Indeed, she looks a lot like me and her off-the-wall, moody personality and bizaare sense of humor are almost clone-like to my own. She's almost like my twin. That's a problem. I can be stubborn and defiant to the point of absurdity. I see that in my niece. I saw that in her eyes yesterday as the people her love her more than life itself pleaded with her to keep her baby.

Yes she has "been to a gyno appointment." Several. But she and her Romeo refused to wear protection. When her mother tried to get her on the pill, Amanda just said, (direct quote): "Eewww gross" and did not show for the appointment.

You should have just quit at "I don't think." She did want to keep the baby. That is one of the first things she told my mom. But, given the choice between keeping the baby or losing Romeo, she chose the latter. It was demonic choice foisted upon her by a cruel and sick set of Nazi-esque parents. Amanda is as loved and accepted in my parents' home as any child on the planet. She is the joy of her grandparent's life. She is the queen of their home.
