She's making her own choice -- choosing her relationship with her 16 year old boyfriend over having the baby (even though she could have it adopted by a generous and caring family member). AND she's choosing to drop out of college -- not to be a mother, but to continue running around with this 16 year old boy (who she'll no doubt forget all about within a few months). I can see choosing to continue a serious education over having the baby (and choosing that a lot earlier) -- but choosing to dump BOTH!?!?!

Sounds like this girl doesn't have two brain cells to rub together. How on earth did she qualify for a scholarship? The moral of this story is that if you have an air-headed, emotionally immature daughter of reproductive age, make absolutely sure to get her set up with and IUD, Norplant, or some other long-term contraceptive. Sadly, it's too late for that in this case.

It's not exactly too late...what if it happens again? Something tells me this won't be the last time she gets pregnant.
