Billie, I met some fun folks from Austin at the Mirage last weekend. Texas women are so sassy, they tell the guys "Well then go there already! Please." Not a lot of insecurity there. The guys wanted to go throw some cash at the blackjack mob, the ladies took no umbrage whatsoever. Hubbys: "Y'all going to be fine?" Wives: "Are you guys still here?" I love it.

LOL! Texas women are sassy....and independent, too, is more like it!

I consider sassy a compliment. Independent and funny and smart talking. It's not a northern term at all. Especially here. Scandinavians don't use any language that would offend or challenge.

Two months later: "What did I do Inga?" "So, after all this time, you think I'm sassy?"

Sassy is too vivacious and colorful a word to use up here. We use other words ... "Hi Gretchen, you look stout and hardy and well kept. How have you been?" "Not so bad. You?" "It's been worse." "Business has been better." "We need more snow." "There's too much snow, we need some cold." "It could be warmer." LOL. The Minnesota forum better not get a whiff of this! ;^) These people outlive dirt though.

And, the beauty of the term "sassy" ... it it takes you more than three seconds to react to the word .... YOU ARE NOT SASSY!
