His opinions don't change the reality that the Fairness Doctrine is no longer necessary because the companies that utilize the "public airwaves" are no longer able to monopolize then even if they wanted to do so. Anyone who wants to get out an opinion can now do so. A 21st century FD would be unconstitutional. Period.

And so is the CFR legislation that got passed when everyone was screaming that it was anti-First Amendment. I don't underestimate the ability of any politican these days to pee down someone's neck and convince them they're in a rainstorm.
