He's a pro-UN internationalist just like his father. He has no concern for his country's sovereignty.

That must be why he pushed through the Kyoto Treaty and signed us up for the International Court. Or, maybe you just like to make noise regardless of what he does.

Heave la France

Heave where? The Gulf Stream would carry it toward the North Sea and the Med is too small. Venus might work, though.

When you have one side bellowing about how you behave unilaterally and make the country a world pariah, and the other side is accusing you of engineering a one-world government and selling out the national soveriegnity, you probably are pretty close to the right place.

There's no harm in calling the UN what it is. If I say, "calm down, Inquest, I don't want your head to explode", it does not mean that I think Inquest's head is about to explode. Indeed, it does not even mean that I do not wish that Inquest's head would explode. It just means that he ought to calm down a little.

PS. WRT Heave la France, we should just give them to the Germans and get it over with.

That must be why he pushed through the Kyoto Treaty and signed us up for the International Court.

He didn't speak against either treaty in principle, but only complained about the extent of their requirements. And he effectively ratified the ICC treaty when he negotiated for exemptions for American servicemen.
