Again, the truth hurts. The UN is about to join the League of Nations as another failed international body.
US out of the UN and the UN out of the US.... let the French and Germans pay for this august (not!) institution.

My wife and I were cheering at the TV last night. Dubya, not Bush 41, is Reagan's political heir.

Good for George. I wonder how mr. powell is taking the news...unless he has a new world organization concept in mind (one which he will chair).

How much does the American taxpayer pay for this empty debating society?
To: prairiebreeze
...something other than an empty debating society.Yes, that's priceless! He could have gone on about Libya (of all African countries) chairing the Human Rights Committee for 2003, Kofi not giving hell to Mugabe of Zimbabwe, and countless other things, but "empty debating society" is a good summary. If it's true that the truth hurts, the screams from the U.N. building in N.Y. will be deafening. Dang, it's great to hear a President finally telling the straight truth about that anti-American (really anti-Western), third-world run, extremely expensive, bad joke.

Time for the UN to go the way of the League of Nations.Anybody notice the irony in the UN's Conference on Disarmarment set for later this spring in Geneva? The conference co-chairs are (get this!) Iran and Iraq!
Y'know, that's some prime real estate on the East Side there...I'm sure that it can fetch a pretty penny on the real estate market in NYC...

"this lawsuit lottery doesn't ruin our health care". Wow. I really like that one. He should use it often!
Trial lawyers support Democrats.
Democrats want a government take over of our health care system.
Democrat trial lawyers destroy our freedom based health care system, the Democrat socialists move in for the kill.
Good work Bush. Kill the agenda before it grows.

The UN is basically a social circle of Marxists and third world tyrants and it gives them the opportunity to get together in a civilized country where they can get running water and decent food.

Yep, lets just hold our breath until the UN is ready to govern us. Get out of the damned organization now!

Perhaps the only good the U.N. can be is to force the axis of weasels to pony up the cash to cover our costs of invading Iraq and saving their arses

Why does Bush want the UN to be more than they are? More control?????????? Right now, they're useless which will end up being more valuable to the US in the long run.
To: prairiebreeze
President Bush just gave another GLOOOORRIOUS speech in Grand Rapids MI. In talking about Iraq he stated that he "went to the United Nations because I wanted the UN to be something other than an empty debating society". Did he really say that ??
Gosh I love this President ..

I'm perfectly happy with the UN as an empty debating society, and as soon as they are less than that I'll be happier still.
