To: Indy Pendance
It just put the reality in such clear terms. It was like it was a challenge directly to the Iraqi people (although I'm not sure how many would actually have the opportunity to hear it), but in an indirect way it stated a powerful truth for the benefit of Americans who just don't get it.

Also, in the frame of reference when he was talking about the way children were tortured in front of their parents and all the horrors committed upon his own people, I don't know about anybody else, but what was running through my mind was the thought of "what if WE had such a tyrant in power" and I thought about our own children and loved ones and how precious each life is and it made me hope that those who are against war at all costs, or worse, against the president no matter what he does, would get a little bit of that vision and realize that peace sometimes comes at a high price and until Saddam is removed, there is no peace for the Iraqi people.

Thank you for your great reply. See the above posts. Didn't GWB do a great job tonight? I really liked the lawyer slams for reasons I stated earlier.
