Here's another piece of inside info that the press hasn't latched onto yet: The Rocha family, like most of the Portuguese in this area, are devout Catholics. Laci was raised in that environment, and I remember that she always wore a small gold cross on a necklace, indicating to me that she took her faith seriouly. I have a hard time believing that a Catholic woman raised in a Catholic household would simply way "No big deal" to the relevation that her husband has broken the sacred vows of marriage. Even if she wasn't devout or practicing, being raised in a christian household would have instilled in her a solid sense of right and wrong, and a respect for marriage. This woman was not a moral-less atheist swinger.

Being raised in a religious family, she may NOT have told anyone about the affair. Although I doubt seriously that he ever told her. How many men freely admit they are having an affair? Knowing what we know about Scott, he would deny, deny, deny. He has no problem with lying.

great posts your personal experience and observations are very helpful. If SP did tell Laci about having the affair, then everytime he walked out the door she would wonder if he was on his way to get some......being Xmas eve day, if he had told her anything I think she would have become very upset and expressed it towards him. Being so much larger than her and in her pregnant condition, a casual blow by him could have had devastating effects on her. Or as someone previously stated, he could have picked up a golf club and finished her off. A missing club could have been returned on the break in or the one with the forensic evidence could have disappeared. Do you know who put up the $500G reward money ? it was stated in the beginning that a relative had posted that amount providing for the safe return of Laci.
