Abington Junior High School is a community where student growth toward life-long learning is fostered by a positive environment and a supportive faculty. We promote and encourage the individuality and diversity of our student population, and through the implementation of progressive strategies, we guide our students to become more capable and responsible. Our students, then, learn to nurture and to rely on their own strengths and interests. Equipped with technological and academic competencies, our students enter the future as knowledgeable citizens prepared to contribute and to excel in a changing and challenging world.

Thank you for posting that laughable "mission statement." Does anyone see it? There is no mission. None whatsoever.

The true purpose of a school follows from the true purpose of human life (to know, love and serve God in this life and to be happy forever with him in the next). The central purpose of a true education then is to aid a child in learning to know, love and serve God in this life and to be happy forever with him in the next.
