[history]
It's a wonder President Bush even puts forth the effort.
His administration proposes changes to the Clean Air Act's New Source Review program, and Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., calls it a "gift to polluters," Sen. Joseph Lieberman, D-Conn., calls for EPA administrator Christine Todd Whitman to resign, and Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., goes Lieberman one better and says, "we don't just need a new EPA administrator, we need a new president." Of course, all three would like to be that new president.

To produce the energy equivalent of one coal-fired plant with solar power would require clear-cutting an area half the size of Vermont to make room for all the solar panels. Wind power can eat up even more space, and it's even less dependable. All the "No Blood for Oil" socialists demonstrating for piece surely must WANT us to drill ANWR, right?

The green scare machine - (Whatever the topic,... alarmist rhetoric the rule )This is not "alarmist" rhetoric...it is Marxist rhetoric, plain and simple.
These people couldn't care less about the environment, you, their own families (children included).
What they crave is power over...and in their sick minds, actually believe that if they get what they demand and "believe" in, they will have a spot at the top of the hill. The joke will be on them. Anyone who takes just a moment to study history can see that fact.
The neodictators don't really have a clue, do they?
To go back to the Garden of Eden, one only needs to realize that Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge, wanting that knowledge....These people seek the same,(though their knowledge is faulty)...For you see, knowledge without wisdom is useless, and that's what these marxists are...useless.
Thanks for reading.

There was a good piece a while back by "Sallie Baliunas" that is also quite good!

This knee-jerk alarmist rehetoric is why the administration should go full-throttle for a radical conservative agenda.
Anything the administration does that could be construed as remotely conservative always results in the media and the Democrats responding with hysterically shrill rhetoric.
Therefore, the administration should take advantage of a public accustomed to hearing the Left cry wolf and exaggerate, and cut loose with a real conservative agenda.
