I am "shell" shocked... and to think this is the daily staple in NK............. it is castrated power hunger to its most vile, pathetic, evil and greedy. Hell must exist and God must have ways to deal with this. I certainly do not trust people to have the way to deal with this crap.

Actually, I would be willing to bet that, not only are there many North Koreans who would believe this propaganda, but that there were a number of the Japanese who saw it who think it must be true. And if even the excerpt is shown in the US, there will be those who take it for a documentary, a picture of a "real" US atrocity during the Korean War.

Some people will believe anything which fits their preconceptions.

Make sure to keep a copy. You need to make Fox News aware of it. I'm sure it would air on one of their programs.

I would send an email to all their shows. The email contacts for each show is listed on the FoxNews web site. Evidently, there are a lot of Fox people that check the Free Republic. Something will appear here and wind up on Fox or else a lot of us email Fox News.

Can you contact NHK or other network this was on and get me a BROADCAST QUALITY format (not VHS, etc.) copy of tape? Format will probably be called BETA SP, BETACAM SX, DVCAM or DVPRO, or possibly "1 INCH". Prefer NTSC, But SECAM or PAL ok as well. (Engineers at NHK or other networks/stations will understand these terms.)

If cannot obtain, please send me fax, email, etc. for person at network or news show who has responsibility for tape, etc.

Hell no, mate. Matter of fact international socialism could never have had the success it has without the first three networks turning their faces away from reality. If it was up to me I'd force some of these liberal network anchors to view the reality of their bias, first hand. Remember the way US soldiers marched local Germans into Belsen, and forced them to acknowledge their part in the crimes against humanity? I'd like to march Connie Chung and Dan Rather through one of the re-education camps in the mountains outside Pyongyang, for the same reasons.

As per the suggestions here, and freepmail, and the fact that the segment got recorded over (that is correct. :-( the person that did it will get a chastisement!)...I will try to do better and (as suggested) get a broadcast technical quality format copy from FNN either in Tokyo or New York City, per the professional advice on earlier. I dont have stills of the segment. FNN has a daily news program in the US that also aired it in the states on last Friday, too, but would only have had the audience of the relatively small Japanese community in the US. I think with the various freepmail and other advice that came in, I have more than enough contacts/routes now to get this out there, providing FNN is forthcoming on a copy, or I may try to put individuals in contact with Fuji Network in Tokyo to work it out (they may need permission to air it in the US and may have to give a credit tag line).

I took particular interest in the poster who questioned whether this actually aired or not.

Ping, mindbender, re: my private Freepmail where I give details on the contact point in the US (NYC) for Fujisankei Communications which reps for the Fuji TV network here, and which also aired the segment I described yesterday, on the Japanese language TV news show in the states last Friday. You might be able to work that side in an effort to get a good quality Beta format or 1 inch tape of the outrageous video I saw from North Korean TV.

Now mate I am going to speak frankly and I hope you don't get offended.

You put this on FR in a caps titled thread and got us all justifiably excited. Should this tape be available it would provide a unique perhaps even unprecedented opportunity for the FR network to get it out into the public consciousness, do a lot of damage to the DPRK, and thereby strike a blow for freedom. Because the reality with our culture these days is that if you didn't get tape, it never happened. That's why this tape is so important. And now, a day later, you tell us that someone has taped over the evidence? And that you've 'provided contacts' and 'maybe FNN will provide a tape'? It's just not good enough amigo. This is an incredible opportunity that cannot be let drift away. You are in the hot seat over there and you have got to drive this thing. Now there would be plenty of Japanese or ROKs who would have a reason to have taped that show. If you can't get one from FNN you have to track down a copy from elsewhere. We should never have discussed it online until you had a copy but the damage is done and now the likelihood is we have to get one from other than the obvious source. Please reconsider what an incredible opportunity this is and get focused on delivering. If you can do your bit, we'll all do ours. Looking forward to your next update, Byron.

You might recall the FNN TV (Fuji Network) had been running the series "Hanna no Kodama" in segments throughout last week. This was on their TV station in Tokyo on Channel 8 (Fuji Terebi) on the "Super News" program aired in the early evening, and the segment (the final one) occured exactly as I described it. In fact, I even posted a link to one of the segments on line (but not the final segment), although all the accompany text and several pages to get to the feed were in Japanese and accordingly difficult for some to find.

Several freepers called it up through Real Audio and Windows Media (two different streams, slow and broadband) and viewed it and then made comments about it on FreeRepublic.

The next thought was to see if it was archived on the Fuji TV website, since the earlier installment was also posted on there.

Not to worry you further, we have a freeper in the US working with the Fujisankei media people in NYC, as I understand it, to obtain the copy which would be of suitable broadcast quality for rebroadcast. It is an established fact, I researched further, that this segment was broadcast in the United States on the FNN network which airs on various UHF channels in the United States, both east and west coast (for example, WMPX TV, or WIPX TV or Crosswalks Channel 73 in NYC). We have those station's names now.

Not to fear, Byron, you know me. And come hades or high water we will get a copy in a format that will allow for rebroadcast in the United States through a larger media outlet than just the smaller stations above mentioned.
