Me: My impression is that Bush is kissing communist Chinese butt, whenever and wherever he can. Globalism is no friend of the Constitution or the United States.

You: Sorry. I'm not a conspiracy buff. You're barking up the wrong tree here. I like Bush.

You haven't refuted my arguments that Bush does not support the Constitution and furthermore is an ass kissing globalist.

What a sad state of affairs for our dying Republic.

It's a shame this march was not covered by the media at all. Yet, I saw that the libs are crying because the anti-war march was so poorly covered by the media. It was a huge deal they say, but the media didn't adequately cover it...blah blah blah.

I am blessed to hear all the reports of the hundreds of thousands of people, and particularly young people, who braved the cold to give voice to the voiceless!

I was at a march several years ago ... where we had an enormous turnout, probably close to 500,000, and it was totally ignored by the press.

I didn't make it to DC this year, but here all of it was ignored. Completely. There had to be a couple thousand at Mass and then we walked to a local clinic saying the Rosary (the archbishop led it via walkie-talkie with people planted in the crowd). We outnumbered the other side by at least 25-1. People of all ages, too. We even had a parade permit, which gave us a police escort. And nothing. No cameras, no mentions at all.

It was cold and snowing and all those people still walked. It was really inspiring.

I support your cause but suspect the estimate in the light of the failure of "official sources" to provide estimates of the number of people involved in recent antiwar protests.

The National Park Service stopped giving estimates a number of years back, in part because of the grief they would get from group organizers. My guess is this estimate was from Nellie Gray and the march organizers. They're usually pretty accurate.

I think you're exactly correct here Corin. This is what I have heard also.

Usually, "Official sources" for rallies in/near Washington, DC are from the Park Service.

Of course, the unbiased national news sources use "official sources" when they want to confirm (enhance) the number, and "rally organizers" or "protest sponsers" when the rally actually has too few people to honestly count.

I still remember one "Promise Keepers" rally in DC where the ONLY TV picture sent was filled with plumber crack photos of the rear ends of men kneeling in prayer (followoed by several minutes of woman's lib "experts" PROTESTING the christian men rally!), yet that one conservative (pro-men at least) rally had 6 times the people of a previous weeks' "liberal" something-or-other protest ... which was very sympathetically treated and talked about in many TV stories.

I read an article linked on the Presbyweb.com website that says people under 25 or so are about 10% more likely to oppose abortion than those who are older.

Conservatives will beat liberals simply by liberalism's attrition rate and lack of replacements.

Um... if you hadn't noticed, we do have significant illegal immigration that (legally or not) ends up voting heavily toward the Slave Party.

Voting does not equal winning the culture wars. And to the dismay of the liberals, many of these hispanics end up voting for candidates who are social conservatives.

There is still hope.

Wishful thinking isn't positive. Without deconstructing public education, we have little chance of realizing your aspirations. On that front we are losing ground. We have a long road ahead.

Yes, it is inspiring to see people's committment. When I was at the march in DC, I met people (including whole families) who had driven for two or three days to get there. Any other group would be regarded as heroes, not ignored.

Oh, well, we know who the heroes are, and so does God...
