Thank you, that was Charles NG. There was a whole lot of PCing that went on before we finally got his sorry butt back for trial.

Didn't we have to promise no death penalty to get him back from Canada?

This what makes FR so great. If you forget something or someone's name, just ask. Then Bam as a tv chef says, there is your answer. Thanks!

Well, passing out flyers at the Super Bowl might have been a good way for him to get in FREE, box seat...all the perks that go with being a "celebrity". BUT now, I don't think he should even THINK about going.

But then again...maybe he should. I want to hear the BOO'S!

(Yeah, Kim, someone said I lost my moral compass, so I'm offering a REWARD to the person who finds it for me)..sw

If what this FReeper's sister-in-law told her is true, then in all probability Amber also told the police this information, and I wouldn't be surprised if the police don't want the information to be public.

I don't understand this. If the person broke in to replace something I assume Scott did not know this person was going to do this? If Scott had someone do it, why not just give the person a key? Why have them draw attention to themselves by breaking in and then calling cops? Something is not making sense.

Well, Amber did specifically ask that her friends not talk to the press......you may be right.

I'm sure the police are tailing SP 24/7.

I saw a rerun of Geraldo's show last night and he said you wouldn't believe what sources are whispering in his ear, but that they all point to police knowing Laci is dead and they know who did it.

Yep, we did have to promise no death penalty or Canada wouldn't release him to the US. Took forever to try the case - about 13 years, I think. Seems to me Ng was found guilty on all charges except one, the murder of a man named Paul (Ford?) from the SF area.

I remember that it took over a decade and several million $'s for each year of our tax $'s besides the written promise of no death penalty for this serial murderer.

His own writings were used as evidence against him.

Now he is a guaranteed lifetime income for his court appointed for his life ACLU lawyers. The minimum fee that these vultures charge us each year for each one of these killers is about one million $'s.

I seem to remember that the judge sort of went back on the promise of no death penalty and handed one down anyway. I think so far Cali has spent in the neighborhood of $20 million to convict this guy...and it ain't over yet.

Not only did Ng's writings help in the prosecution, the video tapes of the crimes being committed were used.

I just don't remember the outcome. If there was a case that hadn't been on the files when we negotiated to get NG back, they could give him the death sentence on that case if tried separately.

I had heard between 20 and 35 million $'s was the cost just for the trials.

Scott Peterson is going down very soon, it's just a matter of one or two more pieces of evidence that will tie it all together, mostly circumstantial but people get convicted all the time in this country on just that.

I believe I heard it on fox news. In my mind, I thought he was going to pass out the flyers outside of the stadium. Of course, if he were to go inside, that would be a different story..or produce a different reaction. I'm with you...if he goes INSIDE it's pretty darn lame... and is appalling..motives would be questioned, again.

Report back to us. My tv is 60 feet and 3 rooms away.

Inside bets are that Scott's world of Bravo Sierra will start to really fall apart this week if not totally. The floodgates of reality are being opened.

I bet he doesn't get one "boo" for passing the flyers out..

I remember when you got accused of the moral compass..that was the beginning of the decline of that particular thread. (I told the guy..forgot his name to put something in his compass and spin it) It turned uglier after you left. I'm sorry to say that I was in the middle of it. :( I support everyone on these threads....to be able to discuss crimes without being harassed for it... and then when people started saying that amber acted fake and was a slut..it just seemed like people weren't about getting to the truth anymore. I think it was Howlin who said the thread wasn't about morality..it was about crime. SHe was right.

I just can't imagine...

I suppose it would be considered hearsay. The cops would have needed more info so they would know that she wasn't a mad girlfriend just making it all up. I can't wait to find out what's on the tapes...what were the conversations about.. OH boy...

Kim, as of yesterday according to Ted Rowlands of Fox, Scott was back in Modesto. Probably summoned by his attorney after Amber's news conference. The attorney Kirk McAllister probably wants to know if there any more surprises.

maybe she heard about his wife/marriage on the news, called the cops, then started recording the conversations, the first of which would have been the confrontation about his marriage....Maybe that was when he said his wife was dead...

Thanks for the update. Maybe he was advised to not go and the news hasn't picked it up yet.

Report back to us.

Never mind, the friend turned out to be the hotel manager Brad Saulzman, a repeat from last nights Rita Cosby.
