Our government has invaded virtually every Latin American country at least once.

Ask this moron exactly when the US Government has invaded: Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Honduras, Belize, Guatemala, Nicaragua or Costa Rica.

The answer is never. The US Government has never invaded Colombia or El Salvador either, although US military advisors have assisted the governments of those countries.

The US Government has invaded exactly 4 Latin American countries - Mexico, Cuba, Panama and Grenada.

We invaded Mexico 155 years ago and Cuba 102 years ago. We invaded Grenada briefly 20 years ago and Grenada is two towns, not a nation.

The only Latin American country we have invaded in the modern era is Panama.

Thank you for the additional ammo, wideawake! You just saved me a lot of research time on the internet. (I could only think of Grenada...) Have to go to work now, but this evening, I will revise my email again to include this.

A lot of my husband's buddies are upset over this and I will send them link to this thread while I am at it. They might just lurk, but I know they will appreciate every kind word spoken on behalf of them.

Thank you and God bless.
