Bored? You want bored?? LOL -- my honey's going out drinking and I'm staying behind to do my taxes.
Sigh, if it weren't sin I'd shoot myself.
I wonder if I could drink bourbon and do my taxes on the same evening without getting audited. Now there's an idea . . . .
To: All
I have to file either a 5329 or an 8609 (or something like that), and I'm not sure which.
Taxes schmaxes.

Here I hurried to Fairbanks and got those pictures, freezing myself to get them to post just for you, Louie.
Where's my hug - and some hot tea to warm me??

Sigh, if it weren't sin I'd shoot myself. Not to mention, it would *hurt* awfully bad! The IRS just isn't worth that!! :-)

Fascinating, Free!
I had sketchy chess lessons, and taught my two sons the basics.
When they reached their teens and began beating me daily after school, I made them join a chess club, and I 'retired' from competition..:))

Good point.
I at least shouldn't even consider it until I get *my* money back from *them* -- so far as I can tell, they have a good deal of it this time.
Which I need, since my brother in Vermont just lost his job. That bad economy thing. So I must be sending some $ up north to them.
Wow, my brother-in-law and now one of my brothers. This economy thing is hitting home.

Bored? You want bored?? LOL -- my honey's going out drinking and I'm staying behind to do my taxes. But more exciting than 'chess'. LOL
Hi Free! I stopped in to grab a hug or two, mission accomplished - so now I'll go back to my hockey game.
To: LadyX
LOL. A somewhat similar story: my mother gingerly taught us how to play, but as she learned more about the game with us, she came to the conclusion that chess was -- get this -- too "violent" a game!! LOL. Compared to most videogames now, it's Disney.
But she basically tried to forbade us from playing chess! Of course, we willful children did not obey her.

Sorry to hear about your brother and brother-in-law. The economy in FL is what brought us here to "ugh" Atlanta. I thank God every day, thought, that we *have* jobs.
Money BACK???? Now there's a good one. I'll be mailing my check on the 14th of April!!
To: ST.LOUIE1
heheheh!
I LOVE that silly smiley!!!

Hockey!! LOL -- my goodness, there's a game that will ALWAYS be a complete mystery to me. My honey *hates* going to hockey games with me here in DC because, well, first, our team always loses, but besides that, I have *no clue* what's going on. "Icing" and all that makes *no sense.* Bill's *really good* at sports and he can see the fouls and everything. He'll get excited about a call, how the refs got somethin wrong, turn to me for verification -- and then suddenly remember all over again that I'm a Hockey Idiot. LOL!
Hockey goes too fast and I can't make sense of any of it and most of the time I can't see the puck!
To: dansangel
thought=though....duh!
To: ST.LOUIE1
{{Louie}}
Happy hockey game. Seriously, I'm impressed. Not criticizing the game, to be clear, just noting that I have a Hockey Learning Disability.

Wait!!!! Dansy's here! Hummmph!
But....but.....I meant YOU could stay. : )
I'll leave you two alone!!
Dang! Lost a hug. : (
To: dansangel
Yeah, perhaps I get kicked out of "conservative" school for this one. You're supposed to owe *them* $ and set your exemptions so Uncle Sam doesn't get a tax-free loan from you, I know.
I just like to do it the other way, sort of my own version of Christmas-in-April for me! :)

My Prayer in this Troubled Time
May our troops have:
The bravery and patriotism of Wallace
The character, intelligence and luck of Washington
The fearlessness and boldness of Patton
The swiftness of Alexander the Great
The good aim of Sergeant York
The coolness under fire of Teddy Roosevelt
The determination and logistical ability of Eisenhauer
The patience of Andrew Jackson
The perseverence of Grant
The genius of Stonewall Jackson
The ability of Robert E. Lee
The faith of Abraham
The invulnerability and success of David
The unswerving support and prayers of the American people
And above all, the blessing of the Lord of Hosts!
