Maybe he was sent to delay the inspectors for a few minutes, giving the Iraqis time needed to hide something.

Given the version of the story in #43, your theory makes a lot of sense.

What BS. The Iraqis have not allowed ONE insepction on a military base. Not one.

I'll bet this guy truly wanted asylum. The UN will turn him back over to Saddam, you can count on it.
